This map is based on our annual World Watch List which ranks countries by the severity of persecution that Christians face for actively pursuing their faith. There are many ways in which Christians may experience persecution, including:

• physical violence and death
• unjust imprisonment
• denial of religious liberties, such as the right to worship and share their faith
• discrimination in employment and education.
